These terms of service apply to the use of Marketplace Invoice (accessible at www.marketplaceinvoice.com), a service for automatically generating and uploading invoices for marketplace sellers on Bol.com, Shopify, and Amazon. By using our service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
Marketplace Invoice provides an automated service that generates invoices based on order data from your connected marketplace seller accounts. Supported marketplaces include Bol.com (via the Retailer API), Shopify (via the Shopify API), and Amazon (via the SP-API, coming soon). The generated invoices can be automatically uploaded to the respective marketplace platform where supported.
2. Account and registration
- You must create an account to use the service.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- The information you provide during registration must be accurate and complete.
- You are responsible for all activities that take place through your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Pricing and payment
Marketplace Invoice uses an automatically scaling subscription model based on your monthly order volume:
| Plan | Automated invoices/month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free (manual) | Unlimited, manual | €0 |
| Growth | Up to 200 | €4.95/month |
| Scale | Up to 500 | €12.95/month |
| Professional | Up to 1,000 | €29.95/month |
| Enterprise | 1,000+ | €59.95/month |
- On a paid plan you automatically scale up or down based on your monthly invoice volume.
- The Free plan includes unlimited manual invoicing: you create, download and send invoices yourself, subject to fair use. Automated invoicing (auto-generate, attach to the order, email the customer, and backup) requires a paid plan or an active 14-day trial. We may contact you about usage that materially exceeds normal seller volumes.
- Payments are processed via Stripe, monthly or annually (annual billing equals 10x the monthly price).
- All prices are exclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.
- We reserve the right to adjust prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email.
4. Service availability
We strive for high availability of our service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided on a "best effort" basis. We are not liable for damages resulting from interruptions, malfunctions, or unavailability of the service, the Bol.com API, the Shopify API, the Amazon SP-API, or other third-party services. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.
5. Marketplace connections and credentials
To use the service, you must connect at least one marketplace account. The connection method varies per platform:
- Bol.com - You provide your API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret), which you create and manage in your Bol.com seller account.
- Shopify - You connect your store via OAuth (one-click authorization).
- Amazon - You provide your SP-API credentials (coming soon).
All credentials and connections are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are used exclusively for retrieving order data and uploading invoices on your behalf. You are responsible for maintaining valid marketplace connections. You can disconnect any marketplace at any time through your account settings.
6. Quick Invoice and third-party AI processing
The Quick Invoice feature allows you to create invoices by uploading documents (screenshots, PDFs, or CSVs). When you use the scan feature, the content of your uploaded document is sent to Anthropic (anthropic.com) for automated data extraction.
Only Quick Invoice uses third-party AI processing.
All other features (automatic invoicing for Bol.com, Shopify, and Amazon) process data entirely on our own servers without any AI or third-party data processing.
- By using the Quick Invoice scan feature, you consent to your uploaded document data being processed by Anthropic under their commercial API terms.
- Anthropic does not use data submitted via their commercial API for model training.
- Anthropic may retain data for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit.
- You always review and approve extracted data before an invoice is generated.
- The scan feature is optional - you can always enter invoice data manually.
For more details, see our privacy policy (section 9).
7. Liability
- Marketplace Invoice is not liable for the accuracy and completeness of generated invoices. You remain responsible for verifying the correctness of your invoices.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.
- We are not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, or missed savings.
- We are not liable for damages resulting from the unavailability of or changes to the Bol.com API, Shopify API, Amazon SP-API, or any other third-party marketplace API.
8. Acceptable use
- The service may only be used for legitimate business invoicing purposes.
- You may not use the service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise unlawful invoices.
- You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or other technical safeguards of our service or connected marketplace APIs.
- You may not use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service or interfere with other users.
9. Cancellation and termination
- You can cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us via email.
- When cancelling a paid subscription, the subscription will continue until the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in cases of abuse or violation of these terms.
- After termination of your account, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights to the service, including the software, design, and documentation, belong to Marketplace Invoice. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use for the duration of your subscription. The invoices you generate are and remain your property.
11. Data processing
In providing the service, we act as a data processor on your behalf with regard to your end-customer personal data (such as names and addresses on invoices). We process this data solely for the purpose of generating and delivering invoices as instructed by you. Our processing of personal data complies with the requirements of GDPR Article 28. For full details on how we handle personal data, please refer to our privacy policy.
12. Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure outages, marketplace API disruptions, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes arising from or relating to these terms will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute by mutual consultation before initiating legal proceedings.
14. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. In the event of substantial changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by email.
