New: Automatic Email Delivery for Every Invoice
Invoices are now automatically emailed to your customers with your own branding. Less customer inquiries, better service.
When we launched, invoices were generated and uploaded to Bol.com — but not emailed directly to customers. Many sellers asked: can you also email the invoice to the buyer? Now you can.
What changed
Every invoice is now automatically emailed to the customer when it's generated. The email includes:
- A professional HTML email with your company branding
- The invoice attached as a PDF
- Optional: a review request to boost your marketplace ratings
Customization
You can customize the sender name, reply-to address, and the review request message. If you prefer not to send emails (maybe you use a different tool for customer communication), you can disable email delivery in settings.
The impact
Early feedback from sellers using email delivery: invoice-related customer questions dropped to near zero. When the invoice arrives before the customer even thinks to ask, there's simply no reason to contact you.
SMTP support
Want to send from your own email address? You can configure your own SMTP server in the email settings. This way, invoices come from you@yourdomain.com instead of our platform address.
